    Each of participant groups carried out a survey on trash. Students of Iwakuro Elementary & Junior High School found a variety of trash such as styrofoam materials and seashells during their survey on the nearby beach. This is the start of their clean-up operations.

    After they visited a garbage disposal plant and a landfill site, students of Kuzumaki Elementary School in Niigata Prefecture have started disposition of leftover food from their school lunch with a help of effective microbes. Students of Tokyo Kokusai High School surveyed the traah at convenience stores and fast food restaurants around their school and about the measures for disposition being taken.

    We hope we all will continue to pursue solutions for the problems.
