2003 World School Network International Symposium

Growing with Global Minds
A future born from our communities

Our world environment faces increasingly severe issues: global warming, pollution and regional peace. In order to protect the earth, it is important to support "global minds" that can take local action as well as maintain global perspective.

World School Network children from various corners of the globe have reexamined their own communities and thought about what makes a community an easy place to live. Many college students, corporate workers, and various other volunteers have supported WSN children as well as the children themselves have taken the initiative to deepen their learning and experiences. At the 2003 symposium, various participant groups will share these experiences and together with adults will think about a vision for the near future in which we will all live.
