Kamo River is clean somehow for the present. We asked our grandparents and parents ideas keeping the water of Kamo River clean. We considered ourselves as well what should be done from now on.

1. Please tell us ideas how to keep the water of Kamo River clean if any.(asked our grandparents in their sixties and seventies)
Plant many trees.
Refrain from pouring oil.
Those who can if possible and those who are going to have new houses without fail are supposed to put up septic tanks( sewage disposal equipments for flush toilets) at each home. ( No drainage ditch is available in our area.)

2. Sewage coming from daily life flow directly into Kamo River in our area. Do you have any idea in order not to let water murky ? ( asked our parents in their forties.)

Have a group study that everyone of the region is careful with pouring sewage arising from daily life.
Let the authorities concerned construct drainage ditches.
We thought ourselves too what should be kept doing in order not to let the water of Kamo River murky from now on.

First everyone living around Kamo River change a synthetic detergent into soap, refrainning from taking a morning bath. By doing these, it will be cleaner than now ! (Sota)
Finally we will write our impressions of trouble people in the past had been had when making a use of the water of Kamo River and learning the relation between Kamo River and water of our daily use.

Thought people in olden times had a hard time because of a flood and so forth. As they had much pains, we realized that we could lead our life today. Though I'm not going to engage myself in the job of agriculture, I wish Kamo River would be kept clean from now on as well. Though we entirely depend on dams today, I don't think it good as the volume of water of rivers fall when using dams. (Sota)
