Yachiseibu Elementary School

Mr.Itagaki found that a butterfly Luehdorfia puziloi inexpecta, which is rare in Japan, inhabit Yachi West district where we live. We went looking for the butterfly with him one Sunday, and we could find such a beatiful butterfly like this picture.
We heard that Luehdorfia puziloi inexpecta inhabit like this place where Erythronium japonicum live together. We also heard such places could be seldom seen these days. We were surprised to find that there were some of such places left in Yachi West district and at the same time we felt glad somehow. The next Sunday, when we went looking for Luehdorfia puziloi inexpecta again, we could find an egg of Luehdorfia puziloi inexpecta. That was a beautiful egg glittering in emerald. We heard that it is also called “Spring Diamond” We]have known that Luehdorfia puziloi inexpecta lay their eggs on the reverse of leaves of a plant named Asiasarum sieboldii.
We all were looking for leaves of Asiasarum sieboldii. We saw a notice board like this picture that Mr.Itagaki had made and then we decided to make notice boards. In our classroom,we are making notice boards which prevents people from entering into the habitat of Luehdorfia puziloi inexpecta.
