10/21(Sat)Give a report on our wisdom search (Three groups out of six and the trash circle of the international exchange committee)  ; Listen to a lecture by Dr. Sakamoto, PhD in agriculture.

10/22(Sun)Give a report on our wisdom search (Three groups out of six); Search for wisdom in the town, with Greg.

How children walked around with Greg

The Method of interview by repeatedly asking people about what we saw in town, was new to the students. At first the students were embarrassed, but they gradually became active; as everyone kindly answered the questions. When it was time to finish, the Children were enjoying it so much, that some said "Oh, it's ending?"

Before departure, he gave us tips on searching for wisdom. On the spot, he walked with one of the groups and supported the students.

The children who joined the search for wisdom with Greg, were surprised with the fact that there was a lot of wisdom in their familiar environment, and decided to re-examine the local area. Those children who did not join the search, heard form those who did, and managed to get an idea on how to conduct their future wisdom searches.

Greg's visit served as a major objective, in carrying out our studies, and his actual visit allowed us to learn more than we expected.

The advice to other navigator

Whether it is on a book or on the Internet, hearing the voices of the local people allow fabulous discoveries to be made. When going out with the children to search for wisdom, letting each group use a digital camera would be nice. Later on, it will help them to share their "wisdom".  

Overview

Interaction with Greg was beneficial to the advancement of the education of the children, in a higher degree than expected. I also searched for wisdom with Greg, and learnt the basics and fun of searching for wisdom; hope to convey this experience nicely to the students. I would like to start next year's MET "Wisdom Search" Course with field-work.Since Greg is not visiting us next year, we would like to compensate for it by effectively utilising electronic networks, such as television conferences; in order to liven up our study, by interacting with Greg and other organisations.
