Description
1) Remove oysters from their shells.
2) Rinse oysters.
3) Dip in batter of flour, egg and water.
4) Dip in bread crumbs.
5) Fry in oil until cooked.
The Komeima Family Women Cooked Oysters
Description
1) Cook oyster in its shell over a charcoal fire.
2) Squeeze lemon juice over the oyster and eat.

HIroshima's oystersHiroshima Prefecure is the largest and most famous oyster cultivating Prefecture in Japan. For hundreds of years water from the Ota River have carried nutrients down from the Chugoku Mountains to the Hiroshima Bay where oysters and oyster cultivating have thrived.
