1) Boil.
2) Crack open and eat.
Ume Dumpling
Description
1) Soak ume plumb in brandy.
2) Wrap a thin layer of white anko (sweet beans) around the ume.
3) Seal shut in a dumpling skin.

Worth Taking Note
Tottori Seaside [Matsuba Crab]
Crabbing season just started on November 6th. Everywhere I turn there are crabs, crabs, crabs. The crab I had today was caught early this morning.

[Ume Dumpling]
According the sweet shop worker, this particular dumpling can only be found here in his shop.


How was it?
[Matsuba Crab] There is nothing fresh, fresh, food!

[Ume Dumpling]
Sweet, but not too sweet. Sour but not too sour. Just right for a dumpling.


Tottori Prefecture
Located on the coast of the Sea of Japan, Tottori is famous for its seafood. Tourists are here from all over the country to get a taste of the prefecture's seasonal fish, particularly crab.
